Disgraced former Bangladesh player Mohammad Ashraful is all set to appeal the eight year ban given out to him by the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) anti- corruption tribunal. He has been handed that sentence for his involvements in match and spot- fixing in the 2013 edition of Bangladesh Premier League. The BCB disciplinary committee head Sheikh Sobel would have the final say in the reconsideration of Ashraful's punishment. Ashraful stated he would be making the appeal within a week and has also sought permission to use the Bangladesh Cricket Board facilities for training purposes.
